WordTracker.com - Click here to go directly to WordTracker.com

Start by typing in your city name. Once you see a result for your city, county, region on Wordtracker, go through the list and find any mention of real estate.

Example: (click the links to see my results)

I keyed in the word: Miami

Several entries down the page I found: miami real estate

Clicking on this link I see a variety of keyword search phrases within 'miami real estate'

I don't see anything that is relevant to investing so I go to GoDaddy and start searching for a domain name most closely related to 'miami real estate'

Click here to go to GoDaddy.com and search for your domain name.

I search for miami-real-estate.com and it is taken. I add a word and try again.

miami-real-estate-investing.com is available.

I know that the term 'real estate investing' is searched on google over 240,000 times per month. Combining the two may or may not produce favorable results but having 'miami real estate' in the name will divert traffic from the search engines toward your web page.


Google Tools - Click here to to to Google Adwords and select Tools

You may also do the same thing with the Tools section of Google adwords.

Sign up for an Adwords Account.

Go to the Campaign Management tab and click on Tools at the top of the screen.

Click 'Keyword Tool' and then enter your city name.

This will give you a wide assortment of keyword search terms that people in your market are using when searching the web.
